Dear Clients, Friends and Fans of Susan Seddon Boulet,

We request anyone wishing to make an offer read all of the information below.

We understand that these paragraphs of terms and conditions can be dry and boring, but we would like to insure those making offers completely understand the process by which we have sold Susan's art online since 2000.   A good understanding of the process will eliminate any potential misunderstandings.

Thank you.

A Background On These Pieces  (October 2024)

Turning Point has been the principal gallery representing and selling original works by Susan Seddon Boulet since 1993.  We continue to work diligently and cooperatively with her family, friends and estate to further enhance and honor Susan's legacy.  This is Turning Point's 29th annual sale of original work by Susan Seddon Boulet and the 24th held worldwide in an auction format over the internet.

The original works in this sale come from collections in the US.

All of the pieces have been re-matted using archival, acid-free mats and or fillets, separators and backings;  all of the glass has been replaced with Museum, conservation Tru-Vue UV protective glass or conservation clear Tru-Vue UV protective glass.  All of the work has been re-framed as noted in the individual descriptions.

Some of the works shown may have the notation "- title unknown" after the title given.  The reason... many of the titles of Susan's early works, (1970 - 1980), are unknown.  As a way to facilitate identification and historical records on the many individual unknown titles, we, after careful thought, have given each piece a title followed by the notation "- title unknown". Those pieces without this notation were titled by Susan.

To Make an Offer on These Originals

Please Note a 15% Buyers Premium has been continued in this years sale.  A Buyers Premium is standard in the auction world and is a percentage added to your offer.  Please consider this when placing your offer. The site will help you to calculate your offer including the buyers premium prior to you actually placing your offer.

These original works will be for sale on the internet starting Wednesday October 2, 2024 through October 23, 2024   * (please read Closing The Offer Period below). The work will also be available for viewing during that same time period, in person.

To see the pieces in person please call to set up an appointment...   610 565-8176    9AM to 8PM EST.

Offers must be made by clicking on the "I agree to the Terms" tab  at the bottom of this page . Clicking on that tab will take you to the "Make an offer Page" where you can place your bid/offer.

Offers are to be in US dollars equal to or above the Opening Offer Price, and should be in increments of fifty dollars. Ie. $1,000. - $1,050. - $1,100. -  $1,150.  etc.

Please fill in the online offer sheet completely;  so that we can maintain clear communication with those of you making offers.  Incomplete, un-verifiable offers will be voided.

The high offer will be posted immediately along with the encoded User Name of the person making that offer.   In the event of duplicate offers;  the first offer received will take precedence.

At the request of many... Turning Point Gallery has instituted a proxy offer system;  in which we will automatically increase your offer incrementally, on your behalf, up to your maximum offer, which will be held absolutely confidential.  ie. If you choose to offer $2,000.  on a piece that has a current high offer of $1,000.  your actual offer will only be $1,050 plus the 15% buyers premium. The computer will increase your offer automatically by $50.,  when other offers are received, up to your maximum offer.   You will never pay more than $50. over the next highest offer below yours. Remember the buyers premium will be shown to you and added to your offer.

Closing The Offer Period

*At pre-determined but undisclosed individual times starting October 19, 2024 and running through October 22, 2024,  offers will no longer be considered, and the pieces will be sold to the individuals holding the current high offer. (each piece has a different, pre-determined, randomly selected and undisclosed ending time).

This unique procedure has been created to:

1.) give buyers, world-wide, an opportunity to purchase original work - (historically we have sold out all set price sales of Susan's work to local collectors within hours of the show being hung locally.)
2.) Because the exact ending moment is not known to bidders, it helps to prevent last second offers, ("sniping")
3.) It helps to create an atmosphere that we believe is more respectful to the wishes and legacy of the artist - and to the buyers that support Susan's art.

If you have any questions about this process or any other needs,  please do not hesitate to contact Chris or Cara at Turning Point Gallery - 610 565-8176 or by email at      info@turningpointgallery.com
