Originally painted as a commission, "Portrait of the Inner Journey," Susan chose this piece to represent the Triple Goddess in her 1994 book "The Goddess Paintings", by Michael Babcock. The Triple Goddess was the original trinity, symbolizing the transformation of the Goddess through the milestones of a woman’s journey, from virgin to mother to crone. This piece is laden with symbolism: the infant in the flower, the eyes, the spiral on the cheek, the doorway. The lion in the center lends strength and power while anchoring the composition. Painted in 1987 it is a strong representation of Susan's Goddess paintings. Please Note: Shipping to continental United States is $10.00 per order.
